As part of the Wyoming Department of Transportation’s (WYDOT) ARPA fund allotment, 4.5 million dollars has been made available for local governments to obtain equipment compatible with the WyoLink statewide public safety interoperable radio communications system in order to assist the state’s continued response to the COVID-19 public health emergency and improved connectivity of emergency responders.
The application process will follow the completion of the Homeland Security Grant (SHSP) application process, with an estimated time frame of opening this process in early June 2022. The Communication Sub-Committee for the Senior Advisory Committee, which assists with the Homeland Security Grant awards, will also be the reviewing body for these applications.
Further details on the application process, eligible applicants and eligible equipment will be included with an upcoming notification, and the release of the applications. Once opened, the application window will remain open for 30 days with awards being announced after an additional 45 days for review. For compliance with funding requirements, agencies will be required to submit vendor quotes as part of the application process, and upon award, may be required to submit a refreshed quote.
● WYDOT will process all orders between the vendor and agencies
● All equipment will be shipped from the vendors directly to the agencies
● All equipment is to be received by agencies
● Upon verification of equipment delivery, all invoices will be submitted to WYDOT for processing and payment For any questions, please contact:
