Training
The WOHS' training section is responsible for the coordination of courses available from NTED, the National Training and Education, a division of FEMA. Students can take FEMA Independent Study courses, attended local courses or travel to national schools through the NDPC, National Domestic Preparedness Consortium. Most coursework is grant funded and at little or no expense to the students.
See current training and exercise information on the Wyoming Information Sharing Platform.
An important note about our training - In order to qualify for most trainings you must have a local, county, or state agency affiliation or belong to a first response, receiver organization or volunteer organization. A FEMA student ID is required for most courses. Please feel free contact us if you have any questions about your eligibility to attend training.
If you need to cancel out of a course please contact Renee Austin. Our courses have limited availability and waiting lists. Please be considerate of others and cancel if you will not be attending. Those who do not show up and have not canceled will be asked to contact Renee Austin prior to registering for additional courses.
