Mine Location

The Land Quality Division (LQD) regulates surface and underground mining operations, and ensures successful reclamation following mining to the approved post mining land use. LQD is responsible for ensuring that mining is conducted in a manner that complies with state environmental standards as established in the Environmental Quality Act.

Who is eligible? WQD can assist Sublette County or individual landowners.

LQD can assist in locating existing aggregate mine locations that could be used for road and stabilization as needed. LQD can provide contact information for the permit holder.
